Delhi Bus Queue Shelter

Bus Shelter

The concept of Fabricated Steel Bus Queue Shelters was developed by M/s Incubus. The dynamic design is an open, barrier-free space, with easy access for even physically challenged persons. The Shelter has five pillars making up four bays. Each pillar is mounted on a pre-cast RCC foundation block. The pillars are made of ISLC 200 sections butt-welded toe-to-toe. The pillars are connected with purlins at the roof level and 114mm nominal diameter pipes at the seating level. Two bays have Kota stone seats bonded to gussets welded to the pipes. The subsequent bays have a pair of SS pipes each for commuters to lean/sit on. All seats and leaning pipes are angled towards the approaching traffic. All features have been designed keeping in mind off-site fabrication and rapid on-site assembly. For corrosion protection synthetic enamel paint was used

Around The World
Aesthetics and Prestige
With a steel structure you will get No limits for Architectural design

Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao

The museum, constructed to house the collections of modern art in the world, is located on the bank of the river in Bilbao. The complex consists of 11 inter-connected buildings with complex shapes and curving surfaces. These are accommodated within a steel framed skeleton which provided the designers with the opportunity to create such a free-form structure.

Architects : Frank O. Gehry & Associates Inc. Santa Monica, California
Structural Engineers : Skidmore Owens & Merril, Chicago
Environment
With a steel structure you will get Lower transportation requirements

Kansai Airport, Osaka, Japan

The airport was built on a man-made island, and much of the steel framed structure for the terminal was fabricated in the UK and transported to site by ship. Despite the complex geometry of the structure and the long shipping distances, construction was completed within 36 months.
