Institute has started providing full fledged prompt advisory service
to its member organizations/members in the areas of steel sourcing;
design guidance; interpretation of codes/standards; new steel applications;
results of life cycle studies; examples of Indian/Foreign constructions
in the form of case studies; sample calculations on economics of
steel application; literature search on specific topics; corrosion
protection (material selection, paint/coating systems and sourcing);
and structural steel welding including electrode selection and sourcing
etc. The queries are being received and answered by phone, fax,
email, letter etc. About 90% of the queries are being addressed
within 2 working days. Based on INSDAG�s advisory service, a number
of non-member organizations has opted for becoming a member of the
Institute. On an average 30 advisory services including overseas
queries per month are being provided by the Institute
INSDAG has built a team of talented group of specialists who are
available to members for consultation, and for persuing projects
and projectised activities.
